2013 Saints VB Summer Opportunities

Summer Team Camp Dates

Our summer team camp will be hosted at St. Mary’s Central High School, June 3-6, 2013. Grades 6-12 will attend from 9 am -12 pm, we will break for one hour, then grades 9-12 will return from 1 pm – 3:30 pm. Setters grades 9-12 are asked to stay from 3:30 – 4 pm for setter specific training.

We have Coach Jon Hegerle from Jamestown College coming in for the camp, and we expect it to be a great opportunity for our girls to get some in depth instruction. Please click on the link to download the registration form. 2013 SMCHS VB Camp Final

Saints Uniform and Practice Clothes

Each athlete is responsible for supplying these parts of their uniform:

Black spandex shorts, with a 4 in inseam
Black knee pads
Black calf mid-calf length socks
Shoes preferably should be black/white design

Practice clothing:

knee pads should be worn daily
shirts must be closed up the sides, with no part of sports bra showing
long sleeved shirts are recommended
spandex should have an inseam of at least 3 inches

Concussion Screening Make-up

If you were unable to make the concussion screening on August 8, the make-up date is Tuesday, August 14th at 4 pm.

Tryout Practice Times

Our Tryout times are as follows:

Monday, August 13

10 am-12 pm
3 pm-5 pm (Freshmen are expected to attend until 4:15 pm)

Tuesday, August 14

10 am-12 pm
4 pm-6 pm

Wednesday, August 15

3:30-5:30 pm
Teams will be announced at the end of practice

Thursday, August 16

attend your assigned team’s practice time

Be sure to bring your physical forms to the school before Monday’s morning practice. It must be at the school before you are allowed to practice.

Here is the practice schedule for our Saints Volleyball this fall. Please keep in mind that at times the schedule may need to shift due to situations out of our control. We will do our best to maintain this schedule:

Freshmen VB:
Monday/Wednesday 4:30-6 pm
Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 3:30-5 pm
New Gym
Please note, this is the time that practice will begin. All players are responsible for having the net set up, and be dressed and ready to begin practice by the start time each day.

Sophomore VB:
Monday-Friday 3:15-5 pm
Big Gym
Please note, this is the time that practice will begin. All players are responsible for having the net set up, and be dressed and ready to begin practice by the start time each day.

Junior Varsity VB:
Monday-Friday 5:00-7:00 pm
Big Gym

Varsity VB:
Monday-Friday 5:00-7:00 pm
Big Gym
Both JV and Varsity teams will begin practice in the main gym, and at 6 pm will split and use both gyms. Both teams are responsible for taking down the nets, and making sure that all equipment is put away before any player leaves the gym.
